About
My core value that I consider my strength is tenacity which falls in line with being passionate and determined. I am a first generation college student. I was raised by a single parent, who set an awesome example for me on working hard, and being able to enjoy the fruits of your labor. I first attended Houston Community College, where I earned an Associates in Science in 2000, which was nearly 10 years of part time study at the community college level. After graduating in 2000, I went on to obtain an Associates in Science and Nursing in 2003. I have a son that graduated from High School in 2007, it was when we were filling out his college application that I had to check no when asked " has anyone in your home ever obtained a Bachelors Degree or higher. But it was at that time that I decided I would never again check no when asked that question. I graduated from the University of Houston, earning my families first Bachelors Degree in 2008. I have worked as an RN in the Texas Medical Center in Obstetrics, I many years ago decided that I would never allow moss to grow upon my feet from just sitting still, and I had a longing to continue to develop academically. I found myself again pursuing higher education as I am enrolled full time at University of Texas, Arlington's MSN- FNP program.
