About

I received my Bachelors at Indiana State University in Public Health. During undergrad I was apart of many organizations and held leadership roles in those organizations. Within these organizations I hosted events focusing on current issues like sexuality, health, physical activity, and resume building. As a graduate student at Indiana University Bloomington I am the Vice President of Raising and Enhancing Awareness of Culture in Health (REACH) and a member of Master of Public Health Assembly.

Goals and interests

Career goal

My intended job path is working for an organization that focus on health disparities and/or addiction. I also would love to evaluate different public health programs to determine the worth and significance of the program and provide reflections for future changes.

Graduate school interests

My grad school interests include health disparities and addiction. I am interested in how we , as Public Health Practitioners, can do to help prevent the burden of diseases based in the differences between groups of people based on income, ethnicity, sexuality, and age. Addiction is an ongoing disease that many individuals suffer with untreated. I would like to research addiction and its relationship with being a minority, socioeconomic status, and ethnicity.

Outside the classroom

My hobbies include reading (fiction, non-fiction, and personal development books). I love to paint and draw, in high school visual arts was my area of study including Humanities.
