About

My name is Leshaya Billian and i have a 9month old daughter. I am a first time mother as well as a single mother who lives on her own and the sole care giver of my child. I am also a QMA that i received in March of 2022 right before my daughter was born. I have been working in healthcare since 2017 and it has always inspired me and brought out that love for taking care of others in me. Not to mention, my child was a nicu warrior and lived in the nicu for two weeks before I could take her home and the way they cared for my child during times I was not there gave me a new love and respect for nursing. Motherhood has also shown me what it is like to take care of another person in a beautiful way the same way taking care of residents in various nursing homes all over Fort Wayne has for me. Becoming an LPN is only part of my long road ahead of me in healthcare. It is a blessing that I was able to get into the LPN program through Ivy Tech because being a single, young, first-time mother with big dreams is hard. The fact I am able to accomplish my goals at a faster pace is so convenient and makes me one step closer to giving my child the life she deserves.
