About
I am a 20 year old student working towards a nursing degree in Washington state. I love the outdoors and grew up in a small mountain community of the North Cascades. I feel the need to serve my community by bring my compassion and authenticity to our healthcare system and provide genuine care to others. I am a caregiver to developmentally disables adults and help them achieve independence and normalcy in their everyday lives as I pursue my passion in mine.
Goals and interests
- Career goal
I intend to ear my HCA lisence in the summer of 2023 and my CNA in the fall of 2023. These will help me get into the RN program at my college, Whatcom Community College. I would like to provide hospice nursing to my community in the future and see out my community's elders while their family may not have the strength to. I want to provide honest and compassionate care to those in the community who may have seen neglect or dishonestly in the past.
- Graduate school interests
I am interest in earning my BA in Nursing at Wester Washington University once complete the RN program at Whatcom Community College.
- Outside the classroom
I love to paddle board, kayak, fish, hike, and mushroom hunt in my small mountain community of Glacier, WA near Mount Baker.
