About

My name is Lindsay Daniels and I am a freshman at the University of Arkansas majoring in Interior Design. I am originally from Jonesboro, Arkansas and live in a house with three other siblings. In high school i was able to maintain my grades as well as play on the volleyball and tennis teams. Along with that, there was a brief period were I was affiliated with Beta, an organization centered around community services. I am a very outgoing person and try to involve myself in as many things as I can without stressing myself out. I also love to talk to people and getting to know the journey they have taken to get where they are today.

Goals and interests

Career goal

Although Interior Design was not my first choice for a major, I believe it to be very important for the mental health of families. If a families home is gloomy and filled with darks, is dull, and doesn't make the family happy, it could very well be a reason for some possible mental illness the family is experiencing. My only hope is that I am able to satisfy each and every families needs for a beautiful home and a beautiful outlook on life while still being able to do something I am very passionate about.

Outside the classroom

One of my favorite hobbies to do lately is to sit outside while doing schoolwork, it makes me feel so refreshed and grateful for the life we are given. Another one of my hobbies is working out; although I don't workout everyday, when I do, I feel accomplished and proud of myself for pushing and working hard when the workouts get tiring. One of my last, but most favorite hobbies to do is spending time wit h my friends and family. This is my favorite because I cherish the time spent laughing and loving with the people I adore the most.

Volunteering

  • Every summer between the years of 2016 and 2020 I volunteered at my church's Vacation Bible School. I remember when I was young and attended Vacation Bible School and I absolutely adored and looked up to the leaders of the groups and knew I wanted to impact the lives of kids like that some day. At Vacation Bible School I had the job of watching over the kids and providing an exciting and fun yet safe learning environment.

  • With my mom being a Veterinarian, I had grown up being taught to treat all animals with respect no matter what. I decided to volunteer at my mother's work because I wanted to impact the animals' lives and allow them to feel safe and comfortable at the clinic. My job mostly consisted of cleaning kennels, assisting in operations, and helping check in the patients.
