About
I have been a member of the Library profession for 30 plus years, in an Ivy League Academic institution. I am pursuing my Masters of Science in Library Science with a concentration in Youth Librarianship. The importance of teaching and supporting learning for our youth, and giving them the critical skills necessary to discern facts versus misinformation will ensure our future.

Goals and interests
- Career goal
My goal is to work in a Public Library, either in a management role or as a youth librarian. I led a Staff Development committee at the Dartmouth Library for several years, and have chaired the First Year Open house committee for several years. I am an avid reader, and if the current job market prevents me from attaining my goal of public librarianship I am open to working in the publishing industry as well.
- Graduate school interests
I am embarking on a research term this summer, exploring diversity in library youth collections. This research will involve compiling a list of major award winning books from the past five years, developing a survey that will be offered to twelve regional libraries in Vermont and New Hampshire, followed up with discussion with participants. My goal is to turn my Maresearch into a publishable article.
