About

My name is Lorenzo Hamilton and I am a raising Junior at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. I am originally from Fayetteville, North Carolina, but being that I was part of a military family... I moved a lot. I have traveled to Belize where I visited Mayan temples, zip lined in jungles and snorkeled. In the fall of 2014 semester, I will be leaving the country again. This time it'll be for school in South America for 6 months!

Goals and interests

Career goal

I would like to work with sustainability to empower indigenous peoples of the world. First, I'd like to start in the Americas with First Nations by facilitating their environmental decisions for the well-being of their communities. I'd like to plan and execute sustainable living though natural agriculture, natural energy consumption, the promotion of cultural retention and educational excellence.

Outside the classroom

I enjoy reading, but more so I love learning. I am a huge soccer fan, and I play regularly. I have a strong passion for social activism. I have been an executive member of the Native American Student Association where I have raised awareness of native culture, contemporary issues, and communal involvement.
