Honors and awards
-
national honor society
I am a member of my school's national honor society chapter. This honor is awarded by merit from my GPA, attendance, and disciplinary record.
-
SkillsUSA 1st place district champion
I, and my team of construction trade students, placed first in the skillsUSA district championship. My team will be competing in the state competition.
-
dean's list
A student is awarded dean's list when they earn a grade of 90+ in all of their classes for one quarter. I have received dean's list every quarter of sophomore and junior year.
Goals and interests
- Career goal
I intend to be an entrepreneur in the field of interior architecture and design, renovating old and abandoned structures into functional, aesthetic spaces in impoverished communities. I will formulate the blueprints, design choices, and construction of both residential and commercial buildings. My background in carpentry will allow me to effectively communicate with my team of contractors.
- Graduate school interests
I will pursue a masters degree through my college's 4+1 program, which will allow me to complete my Bachelors of Science degree in my first four years, and my masters degree in 1 year.
- Outside the classroom
I enjoy creating 3D models of floor plans that I've designed and decorating the interior. I practice a different style of design with each model. I also enjoy baking and reading.
