Maegan Cox

My name is Maegan Cox, I'm currently a 24 year old senior Public Health student, focusing on Community Health, at California State University of Los Angeles.

I was homeschooled from a young age, giving me the necessary tools to be self-disciplined in my academics and my personal life. I was able to set high goals for myself academically to continue to achieve good grades and actively participate on my campus.

I have been a member of Delta Zeta's (ΔΖ) California State University of Los Angeles chapter Theta Rho since Spring 2017. Where I serve as the 2018 Risk Management chairwoman, educating our chapter on many health related matters including risk prevention, providing information on current health topics, and being there for my chapter if our members need to talk or disclose information to. I also regularly work with our Student Health Center on campus to coordinate tabling events for students of our campus. I have also participated on many committees throughout my membership as an active of Delta Zeta, such as 2 terms on recruitment committee, bid committee, personal relation committee, and standards committee. Using the tools I have learned from these committees I have developed great communication skills, planning skills, the ability to work in teams, and leadership skills as well.

I am also a part of California State University of Los Angeles's Public Health Student Association, where I frequently attend public health seminars and workshops to better my knowledge of health for my major and my future.
