Maria Fonseca

Throughout high school, I have taken on a rigorous academic schedule, balancing AP, AICE, and honors courses to challenge myself and prepare for my future. I’ve especially focused on subjects related to law, psychology, and business studies, as they align with my long-term career goals. My commitment to academic excellence has allowed me to maintain a strong GPA (4.6 unweighted) while managing a demanding workload and multiple responsibilities.

Beyond the classroom, I have been actively involved in extracurricular activities that reflect my leadership skills and passions. As treasurer of the Law Club, I’ve gained experience in organization and teamwork, while my participation in DECA, Key Club, Brazilian Lions, and the Psychology Honor Society has further developed my leadership and networking abilities. Additionally, I have dedicated almost 300 hours to community service, reinforcing my commitment to advocacy and making a meaningful impact in my community.

In addition to my academic and extracurricular commitments, I have consistently held a job throughout high school, allowing me to develop strong time management and work ethic. This summer, I plan to take my experience further by interning at a law firm, where I will gain firsthand exposure to the legal field. These experiences have shaped my drive and determination, preparing me to pursue a career in law with confidence and purpose.
