Marilian Canals

Hi there, I`m a student from the UAG (Universidad Autónoma de Guadalajara) and on this January 2017 I star on my 4th year in medical school. Currently I'm doing my rotations in Las Vegas NV and plan to stay for my internship. I`m fully bilingual (Spanish/English) whit current plans of learning Japanese. I did my bachelor degree in Puerto Rico in Biology whit minor concentration in medicine. My mom work as an accountant in Hospital Ryder in P.R for 35 years and although she was not in the medical field, I went to primary school in that same hospital called Academia Ryder, and was raised very close to the Hospital influence. I've always liked and admire all medical field workers, specially doctors, and that admiration inspired me to become one. I've been involved in volunteer mission in Puerto Rico, Guadalajara and in Las Vegas. I want to become the type of Doctor that`s involved in voluntary community services as well as active research and eventually become part of a teaching hospital and help guide other student into success.
