About

Hello, my name is Marta. I was born on the Mississippi gulf coast, and at the age of twelve moved across the country to Alaska. Throughout my life I have moved through many houses, schools, and cities. Not for a reason one may assume, like coastguard or military; but simply because my mom loved new adventures. This is a characteristic I believe she instilled in me and my three siblings. Growing up without a stationary home has made me more sociable, outgoing, knowledgeable, and open minded. Throughout high school I wasn’t too involved. I didn’t play sports but I was apart of student government. Also my senior year I had decided to run for secretary and was nominated for class of 2018. After high school I took two gap years to try and figure out what I wanted my path to be like. I worked various jobs, and fell in love with coffee shops. In Alaska most stores and restaurants are locally owned. The freedom to design your own business is what truly inspired me to go to school and work hard toward a degree in business.
