About
I am Mauricio Bryant: a Division 1 wrestler, Finance major, and self-made entrepreneur with deep roots on the South Side of Chicago. Raised by parents who fought their way out of single-parent households and humble beginnings to become college graduates and successful business owners, I learned early on that success is earned through discipline, grit, and ownership.
My foundation was built by balancing intense academic, athletic, and personal demands. Navigating an International Baccalaureate (IB) diploma program while helping care for my older brother, who has autism, taught me patience, adaptability, and time management. On the mat, years of dedicated training prepared me to compete as a Division 1 athlete, where mental toughness and daily accountability are non-negotiable.
Entrepreneurship has been a central part of my life since the sixth grade, when I turned my passion for music into a working business producing tracks and DJing homecomings and proms. For the past four years, I have also served as an integral part of my parents’ business, coaching and mentoring youth wrestlers aged four to ten. Designing practice plans and adapting my coaching for young athletes with special education needs or physical limitations has shown me that true leadership is rooted in inclusion, patience, and service.
By combining the analytical tools of a Finance major, the practical instincts of an entrepreneur, and the relentless drive of a D1 athlete, my ultimate goal is to launch social-impact ventures that generate real economic opportunity and empower underrepresented communities.

My intended career path is to build and own a multi faceted Athletic Wellness Center designed for athletes of all ages and abilities. This vision bridges performance, recovery, and inclusion under one roof. Driven by my life experiences from watching my parents build businesses out of hardship to competing as a Division 1 wrestler, caring for my brother with autism, and coaching youth athletes my goal is to use sports and wellness as a tool to inspire, transform, and empower communities.
