About
I am currently a Justice Studies student, with an emphasis in Intelligence Studies, at Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff, AZ. I am however, attending classes through their online program as I live and work in Tucson, AZ. I have always wanted to do something with law enforcement as I have been fascinated with investigatory jobs. Working in the insurance industry, I have dealt with my fair share of fraud and running investigations of my own. This ambition to partake in a police or military lifestyle came when I was younger and has stuck with me since. When September 11th happened, both of my siblings shaped up and joined the military. I, being too young, sat on the sidelines and watched, waiting for my time to come. Little did I know, my time would come later than I anticipated. For you see, my parents did not have money or much idea that college was important. They did not attend college themselves; My father started working construction to support my mother while she stayed home and took care of my siblings and me. There was never much money nor was there much support. With my siblings being gone off on their own, I joined the work force right as I turned 16. I started working at a gym as a janitor, a hardware store cashier, retail lead, and currently am a trainer for an auto insurance company. College was put on the backburner while I provided for myself and others. I got married and helped support my husband with his own dreams. That was until he became disabled while in the Army. Then my path turned towards making ends meet with no chance to slow down. Now at 32 years old, I am in a position to be able to finally finish my degree. Once I have obtained my degree, I have plans to either join my husband in the government sector or work locally for the state. My ultimate goal is to help. Even if I am just another cog in the wheel, my work will help support the cart in reaching its destination intact and on time.

Goals and interests
- Career goal
My intended path is to ultimately get a job within the government, particularly at the Department of State with my husband or within another department. I have been pending an opening for the State Department's pathways program in which students are able to apply for being a passport adjudicator. Ultimately, I would work my way up through the ranks with the goal to be a director of the Tucson sector. If I have not been able to get into the State Department, I will continue to press for a intelligence job at both the state and government levels. If all else fails, being an insurance agent and adjuster, I can also move up within my current company in our Special Investigations Unit because unfortunately, there will always be insurance fraud that requires investigators.
