I have been an Emergency and Trauma Registered Nurse for 13 years. I have charge nurse experience in a Level 1 Trauma Center ED. I would like to utilize my background as an ED and Trauma nurse to transition into a position in an Emergency Department when I graduate from Nurse Practitioner school.

I would like to work in an Emergency Department as a Nurse Practitioner. I have looked at both Emergency Nurse Practitioner Post Masters Certificates Programs and Acute Care Nurse Practioner Post Masters Certificates programs as options to increase my skill set upon graduation from my FNP program. But at this time I am undecided which is the right path. I have extensive ED experience as a Registered Nurse, so I am sure that I want to work in the ED. My hope is that I can get a job in an ED working fast track until I finish either the ENP or the ACNP cert.
