Goals and interests

Career goal

I hope to become a Physician Assistant. During my time working as a medical assistant I was able to observe a wide variety of patient interactions with different providers while scribing the visits. I noticed how a deeper understanding of psychology and human behaviors could be beneficial to encourage a positive environment and improved patient outcomes.

Graduate school interests

I am applying to graduate schools for Summer 2018, I hope to be accepted into a Physician Assistant program.

Outside the classroom

I enjoy playing with my two children. I have been sewing since I was 5 and I often enjoy piecing together some type of intricate sewing project. My husband and I are also avid board gamers. At this point in my life I would also consider studying to be a hobby because any time I get a free minute I am likely to be caught reviewing lecture notes, reading a textbook, or planning ahead for any upcoming assignments.

Volunteering

  • Support autistic adults in daily activities including the management of their CSA (Community Supported Agriculture) buisness, along with helping to tutor in reading and math
