About
Hello! My name is Michelle Villalon and I am majoring in Interior Design at New York Institute of Technology. I'm currently working on my social skills since I can become shy at some points. I managed to improve it little by little during the summer on my first job as a kitchen assistant and also came out with leadership skills. Some ways I want to overcome this obstacle is by meeting new people on campus as well as participating in activities/clubs. Additionally, during my free time, I enjoy watching movies with my family and reading mangas. I also practice Japanese to learn the third language and to learn more about their culture. When it comes to sports, I love playing volleyball and try to keep up on my soccer skills from when I was little. Academically, I feel like I am good when it comes to pacing myself to complete my assignments but I still need to improve my time management. I can take a little more time on a simple task since I tend to overthink it or come up with a different idea. Personally, I enjoy trying new things in and out of academic walls just because I want to expand my knowledge. Some goals I have for this school year are to be able to succeed in my classes, form bonds with not just students but teachers/staff and have a fun yet engaging school year. My mom always tells me to "keep my head up even through the toughest times", I will always cherish this tip since it has helped me a long way already.
