About
I would be a great fit as a member of the National Honor society because:
I have a commitment to help others less fortunate than myself, I strive to make a difference in others lives, I respect my mother and father, I belief in God and I strive always to be my best person to myself and others.
I believe I am a good candidate for the following reasons - I have greatness in my DNA! My great, great, great grandfather was the first African American to graduate from Yale School of Medicine - Cortlandt Van Rensselaer Creed. Cortland's wife Vashti Duplex was the first African American teacher in New Haven and Vassti's father Prince Duplex fought in the American Revolution. My grandmother Jacqueleine Creed-Archer was named an African American of distinction by Governor Cuomo of NY. I have been raised by a single mother and I have been taught the history of discipline, excellence and responsibility shouldered by those before me. I have collegiate athletic and academic goals of greatness in my path and I know great things are in store for me.
