About
I am Natalie Kendal Covey and I am a Psychology Major at Kean University in New Jersey with the eventual end goal of being a therapist or counselor around wherever my family settles down. This became my goal because of the life I have had along with the life of my family members and friends. We all have different things going on and I wish to help out with the stress or in some cases PSTD that my family has, leading me to wanting to help others. Helping others started at a young age from cats, to people with the small non-profit organization that was called "Clothe Our Community" whose goal was to gather donated clothes and give them to food banks for those in need to get clothes that fit them, getting two awards in Pennsylvania. I was taught leadership skills throughout life, from my mother, my teachers, Girl Scouts, and People to People program established by President Eisenhower. My end goal in life is to help others while always exploring to make the whole better, but not to forget to relax and stay healthy myself. Shaped for my love of the forest and writing with books, evironment, and friends/family I learned we must also remember to help ourselves sometimes in order to help others.

Goals and interests
- Career goal
My goal is to eventually be a therapist or counselor of some kind. While I am not sure exactly what I will be aiming for I want to finish all my research first instead of getting myself stuck into a job I do not love which will cause my actions to be less effective in helping others.
- Graduate school interests
The only thing I am fully sure of is that I want it to be close to home, or close enough to be able to visit oftn. We are debating on moving within the next year or two so I do not know exactly where we will end up but I aim for a M.A. and a PH.D/Psy.D in order to have the best education possible with real life experience for those I can help be better for themselves.
- Outside the classroom
I have a plethora of hobbies because I consider one to be experimenting. From this I have continued with Making buttr, sugar scrubs, fudge, and sealing wax for my letters. I also enjoy dancing, listening to music, drawing, writing, reading, roller skating, nature walks, and spending time with my family. I had picked up wood craving for a little while but lost interest, and started dabbling in glass engraving recently, while wondering if I should try and learn a bit of blacksmithing as well.
