About

I am Nathalia Marie Jackson a high school senior at Mary Star of the Sea High School in San Pedro, California, and an incoming UCLA student intending to study Physiological Science. She is a student leader, athlete, volunteer, and youth advocate with extensive involvement in ASB, National Honor Society, Relay for Life, Justice for Homicide Victims, track and field, and cheerleading. Her experiences overcoming the loss of her father to gun violence and living with Crohn’s disease have inspired her interest in neuroscience, neuropsychology, and research into the connection between brain function and gastrointestinal health.
