Nathan Young

My name is Nathan Young. I'm currently the General Manager of a hotel and have been for a little over one year. My area of expertise is in any form of management, and team building. I met my wife at one of the companies I general managed over. God has blessed me and my wife Jessica with one child Liam he is the first of the boys in my wife's whole family tree.

Early Life and Conversion

I was born April 14th, 1989, in Centerville, Iowa. My mom and dad had 4 boys and 2 girls. I’m the youngest of the boys, I have a younger sister. My dad was a godly man as well as a Baptist minister. My dad was the person who led me to the lord as well as baptized me at his church. From the time I accepted God into my heart my life changed. As everyone I had the devil knocking at my door with temptations'. But I was taught by my dad and his preachings from the word of God that if we hide Gods word in your heart, so we don’t sin against him.

Calling to Ministry

The call to the ministry for me came just last year. The lord had been working on my life for a while but I faced many challenges because it wasn’t in the my cards, but God had other plans and I was once told that we should never add God to are plans but pray to be added into Gods plans because our plans a lot of the times don’t align with Gods plan. In my life God has worked in mighty ways. Currently mentoring one of my closest friends which I consider as more of a brother, in Christ we as all brothers and sisters if we have called upon him, we become his family. God has always placed an urgency to go into the world and preach the gospel. So, I'm answering that calling as well as developing God’s children in the process.

Ministry Training

I’m currently going to college working on Gods will for my life. I’m currently working on mentoring Gods people and reaching out to spread his word to all the people I come in contact with. I’m currently enrolled in the bachelor of chaplaincy to further his glory. I feel like after becoming a licensed officiate it was essential to my growth in becoming a chaplain. The summer term will start the Masters Of Art in Christian Ministries to further Gods will for my life !
