About

I am currently pursuing my Bachelor of Arts degree at UNLV. I am a board member of Another Joy Foundation and Life By Music, two local non for profit organizations, and am currently piloting an art outreach and development program at Mission HS where my colleagues and I teach recovering minors fundamental art techniques to express and process emotions and traumas in productive and cathartic ways. The art curriculum we are introducing to the students coincides with their art and humanities class and provides an alternate way to engage with their current areas of focus.

Goals and interests

Career goal

Once I receive my BA I will be pursuing my MFA with the intent to become an art professor. I am interested in incorporating zen and daoist principles into fundamental art techniques that equip my students with the tools needed to live personally fulfilling lives while positively impacting their communities.

Graduate school interests

Merging zen and daoist principles with western art techniques.

Inspiring people to see cultural blind spots through my drawings, paintings, and printmaking.

Understanding and Healing traumas through sustainable forms of expression by utilizing multi disciplinary art.

Completing my degrees so I can teach students at a collegiate level.

Authenticity.
Impeccability.
Blending the fields of art and therapy.

Developing and refining my style as an artist.

Outside the classroom

Painting, painting, PAINTING!
Reading, studying and creating art, writing, tai chi. Composing, producing and recoding original music. My job is my hobby, I love tattooing and creating lifetime relationships with my clients. Volunteering, educating, learning. Being outdoors. Listening to nature. Listening to my body. I’m fascinated with psychology, communication, sociology, anthropology, the human in all of us and how I can portray this passion and connectivity I feel through art.
