About
As a male of color, my goal in life is simple--to educate the future of tomorrow. I have been granted the opportunity of a lifetime to be in the National Honor Society. With this privilege, I will educate my students to the best of my ability. I feel my role in educating is to be a voice of the people. To foster relationships with students that will leave impacts on their lives. From the first day I stepped into kindergarten upon graduation of my Master's in Special Education, I have never left school complacent. I've always looked for better insight to understand materials.
My mother, a former Chicago Public Schools teacher, allowed me to volunteer at her schools in her nine years of working for the city. In these classes, I got to witness these reports students would have with my mother. This is where I discovered that my calling for work was in fact education. Questioning students to make their own conclusions based on the world around them is powerful.
