Volunteer- I was invited to join Spay Montana on their mission of providing affordable spay/neutering procedures for those in need throughout the state of Montana. There were many tasks to be completed throughout the 8 hour shift. I shadowed a volunteer who had been volunteering at this foundation for over 15 years! I got experience distributing vaccines to 20 dogs, mixing/drawing vaccines, watching/assisting vets during the procedure, assisting owners in waking up their pet as well as remove breathing tubes, and finally talking the owner through the process and important things to look out for as their pet is recovering.
