Paola Melendez

I am currently a high school junior and I will graduate in May of 2026. My Career and Technical Education (CTE) pathway is Pharmacology, meaning that at the end of my senior year I will be taking the Drug and Pharmaceuticals practicum in order to allow me to work at a pharmacy immediately after I graduate high school in order to gain as much experience in a medical setting as possible. I have begun my college search, and I will continue to gain knowledge of what school will benefit me the most in terms of location, cost, and best medical program. I aspire heavily to be an influential figure in Neuroscience and Neurobiological studies, as I have had to deal with epilepsy, and with such condition, it has made me more aware of how big of a problem neurological conditions are in a grand population in the United States alone.
