Payton Adams

I am a sophomore at Auburn University, majoring in biomedical sciences. I am pre-med and hope to become a Pediatric surgeon in the future. In two years I will start applying to medical schools and I would love if I got accepted into UAB or Emory. I am an EKG Tech at West Georgia Health hospital in LaGrange, GA and I was a volunteer during my junior year in highs school at East Alabama Medical Center - Lanier in Valley, Alabama. I have always known that I wanted to work in the medical field because I love taking care of people and coming up with solutions to make them feel better. I just recently decided to go into to pediatrics; I chose this field because I love being around children and babies. I chose this field because even though there is a lot of money that comes with the title, I know that I will love going to work everyday and it will not just be a job to me. When I'm not studying or in class, I am apart of an internship at my church, Church of the Highlands. I am able to spread the love of Christ by serving the church in multiple ways. The most prominent way I serve is by helping make sure our college night service runs smoothly. I also enjoy reading, any kind of book, which I mostly do while I hammock by the lake. During the summer, if I am not taking classes, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends out by the pool or on the lake.
