About

My name is Pia Tungabose and I am currently an East Kentwood High School graduate in Kentwood, Michigan. I am planning on furthering my education at Ferris State University. I was born in a small country called Burundi (Eastern-Africa). However, due the civil war in my country, my family moved a lot and we ended up in the United States. Despite the tragedies I went through, I kept my head up high and focused more in school. I am an extremely caring person and diverse in knowledge. I volunteer to help translate for other refugees on their appointments and phone calls and I also volunteer to do some work in my community. I want to be able to make a difference in anyway I can and I believe by furthering my education I can do so.
