My name is Pooja Dhital, and I am a first-generation college student currently attending the University of Houston–Clear Lake. I am a dedicated and hardworking student with a strong interest in auditing and a passion for excellence in the field of accounting. I take pride in overcoming challenges and continuously strive to grow both academically and professionally.

Goals and interests
- Career goal
My intended career path is to become a professional auditor. I plan to work in either public accounting or internal auditing, where I can apply my skills to help organizations ensure financial accuracy, compliance, and ethical standards. My long-term goal is to become a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and take on a leadership role in the auditing field.
- Graduate school interests
Yes, I am currently pursuing a Master’s in Professional Accounting at the University of Houston–Clear Lake. This program is helping me build a strong foundation in auditing and prepare for the CPA exam.
- Outside the classroom
I enjoy spending time in nature and love hiking, which helps me relax and stay active. I also have a strong interest in childcare and enjoy engaging with and supporting children’s growth and development.
