Priya Thomas

Going into college I planned to major in business while also taking the required courses to go to medical school. After my first year doing this, I realized that I was not as passionate about business as I was about science. I had never taken any business classes before going to university so while I learned a lot during my first year, I also felt challenged by the new material. I do enjoy being challenged by academics, but some of the topics I was learning were hard for me to grasp in just a semester and due to that my GPA was not as high as I hoped it would be. Going into my sophomore year I changed my major to Integrative Physiology and feel so much better! I really enjoy the material I am learning and am excited about all the science classes I get to take. My passion for science has led to a better GPA and I feel like this will continue throughout the rest of my time here at CU.
