About
I am a second year student at Northern Michigan University with the goal of going into nonprofit work in the development sector with a focus on food security. I am a member of a nationally recognized two-year program unique to NMU called the Student Leader Fellowship Program where students are equipped to become impactful community leaders. I volunteer at the local hoop house and am involved in the Farm to School program. Apart from that, I love learning, adventuring, reading, writing, and growing things!

Goals and interests
- Career goal
After graduation from Northern Michigan University, I plan to work with a nonprofit organization in the field. My desire is to work with people, in person, to help combat the issues of hunger and poverty and to help implement ways of sustainable living. I am primarily interested in working in the Central and South American nations, or with the countries of eastern Europe. When I have gained some experience and have narrowed my interests to a certain field, I hope to return to graduate school to get a doctorate degree.

As of now, I hope to go to graduate school after working in the field with a nonprofit organization for a few years. I do not know exactly what direction my doctorate will take as of now, but I hope to attend an Ivy League university.
