About

Greetings. My name is Radiance Flowers(she/her) and I am honored to be chosen for membership in the Honor Society. I am currently a reference librarian at a public library in Western Massachusetts. In May, I will be graduating with a master of science degree in library and information science with a concentration in cultural heritage informatics from Simmons University in Boston. Though I enjoy my profession, I would love to become an academic librarian, and a historian with a focus on Black women's history in the United States. I would love to write a book about Black women preachers in the United States before, during and after the civil rights movement. If I can, I would love to leave the society with one of my favorite quotes by Maya Angelou that I try to do which is to "Be a rainbow in someone else's cloud."
