Rebecca Walters

Starting in high school I never had the opportunity to work, so I made up for that in extracurriculars. These included becoming a teacher's assistant, joining my student council and tutors my fellow students.
In college I have made it a goal to participate and better my campus community. Whether it be in racial equity, freedom of sexuality, or self-care, I want to encourage fellow students to take part. I have worked alongside my friends to attend and help in clubs on campus that work to create a relaxing and welcoming environment during stressful times.
Finally, I have taken up volunteering with my schools volunteering organization. I work in the surrounding residential households and businesses to gain an understanding of the struggles that come with living in the Colorado Springs area.
I want to continue my exploration of differing values and use any resources I am presented with. I can't wait to see where I go as college progress.
