About
I am an achiever, dreamer, and very passionate on the things I want to accomplish to better my life. I came to live in San Antonio 11 years ago. English was my number one barrier to make my dreams come true. I decided to take English as a Second Language for 2 years and it led me to College Prep classes that helped me prepare for college. In 2015 I was able to start College at Northwest Vista and Completed a certificate in Fitness Professional Trainer which I paid out of pocket working full time. A major change in my life force me to become independent and had to work harder. I stop going to school to be able to get my own place. Now that I’m settled in my own place, I continue to work full time and decided to apply at the University of San Antonio Texas in which I was accepted. I decided to study kinesiology and complete a bachelor’s degree to better my economic situation. I see myself working with the community and helping them to be more physically active. I would love to give physical therapy to kids and teach the community about more nutritional meals they can use to get more energy and improve their health. On my free time I like to listen to music, draw, work out, dance, and go out with my family and friends. I love to spend time with my family and to watch movies. Volunteering at Santa Rosa of Lima Catholic Church and the Food Bank teach me to be humble and appreciate life every day. I would always try to make time to do volunteer work with our community. I love to learn about things that will help me get prepare for my future career. I know that at UTSA I will not only educate myself, but I will be able to experience different activities that would help me and prepare me to become a professional Kinesiologist.
