About

I am a graduate student at Lamar University. I am pursuing a master's of education degree in marriage and family therapy. I have a 4.0 GPA and plan to become a licensed marriage and family therapist. I am employed at a mental health agency where I conduct assessments on consumers who are in crisis. I assist in linking consumers with long-term psychiatric care and medication management. I previously worked for the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services as an investigative supervisor. In that role I made decisions that minimized the risk of abuse and neglect to children. Parents and caregivers were referred to counseling services, parenting classes, and other resources as needed.
