About
I am a senior double majoring in Public Service & Public Policy and Sociology at Arizona State University.
I have held several internships at A New Leaf, a nonprofit that helps individuals and families escape homelessness, domestic violence and other crises. Some of my major projects include creating a brochure and other supporting documents for a tour of a new facility that houses families; writing acknowledgement letters, informal reports and grant proposals; and developing a marketing strategy to increase brand awareness among government officials.
Currently, I serve as a commissioner on the Town of Fountain Hills Community Services Commission. As a member on this commission, I advise the Fountain Hills Town Council on matters relating to parks and recreation, events, and youth and adult services.
I also create original social media content for Biophilic Fountain Hills, and manage the weekly newsletter, podcast and website for Together We Care: Fountain Hills, whose mission is to amplify historically silenced voices and show Black people in our community and around the world that they are seen, heard and value.
With efficient organizational and problem-solving skills, I have an ambition for change and affinity for helping people.

A New Leaf | Mesa, AZ: - Assisted Philanthropy Volunteer Program Chair with the following: - supervision of the onboarding and mentoring of new interns - facilitate reviews, feedback and recognition - monitor status of intern training and requirements - review intern records for accuracy of hours served - develops strategies to increase student interest in internships and outreach As the first Lead Intern for the Philanthropy Team, I developed different methods of tracking intern progress, including using Microsoft Forms to create surveys. A New Leaf | Mesa, AZ: - Designed social media content using Canva and produced 4-6 paragraph captions to publicly recognize corporate and foundation funders. - Assisted in adding amendments, organizing contracts and uploading new contracts for the Public Grants Team using the digital contracting software Summize. - Developed an in-depth understanding of the community need for A New Leaf's Phoenix Day Early Childhood Education program and public policy around early childhood education to create strong proposal content. - Supported the Private Grants Team by updating agency documents and writing informal reports, thank you letters, and grant proposals relating to Phoenix Day.
