About

After teaching for five years in Austin ISD, I chose to study library and information science in graduate school. I worked with Kindergarteners and second graders as a teacher, and worked with ages four to eleven as a TA and substitute teacher. This experience taught me skills that will be very useful as a youth librarian. I work hard to do well in my courses and am enjoying the challenges of my program. I look forward to volunteering at a library in the Austin Public Library system and ultimately getting a job there. I am a family-oriented person. I am very close with my parents, sister, 3-year-old nephew, and cousins. I have a tight-knit group of friends that I play music with. It is a multi-age group that lives in and out of Austin.
