About

During my ninth grade or freshman year of high school I attended my local public high school, Floyd County High School. Soon after, the two week lockdown in 2020 became a country wide indefinite lockdown, and I made the decision to return to homeschooling. I had been homeschooled k through third grade so I was familiar with the setup. Starting in my eleventh grade or junior year of high school I began DE classes at my local community college (NRCC). I am currently on track to graduate high school with an associate degree. This May, I will receive both my high school and my college diploma. I am so excited!

Goals and interests

Career goal

Once I have earned my Bachelors in Politics and Policy and my Law degree I plan to enter into public service. I want to begin on my local school board so that I can gain a deeper knowledge base and better insight so that as I climb up the proverbial ladder I will actually be qualified for the positions I hold. My long term goal is the U.S. Congress, with a preference for the Senate, but never anything higher. I want to be in a position to make a difference and not just be a figurehead. There are things that I believe should change and instead of sitting around and complaining, I am going to do something about it.

Graduate school interests

My future Law Degree should more than adequately prepare me for a political position. The only issue is how on Earth I am going to pay for it all.

Outside the classroom

Singing is one of my favorite things to do. I have been blessed with the opportunity to sing in my church's band, at other local churches, and at charity events. Reading and I have had a love-hate relationship. I love to read novels but hate reading my textbooks. I'll never guess why. ; )
I also love roller-skating. As small children my sibling and I would spend our days in out concrete basement skating around playing tag, hosting jumping contests, and playing soccer with a marble. I know, pretty impressive. : )
(I am pretty sure we would die if we tried that now. lol.)

A few rapid fire hobbies include (actual) soccer, horseback riding, boxing, and Track (110 hurdles).
