Rascal Flatts once sang, “Life is a highway.” This highway consists of curves, hills, potholes, and many other obstacles. The road and the wheels are what make us who we are and give us our life story. The lessons learned have made me a well-balanced, well-rounded, prepared for the future person. I know being passionate about my career is really most defined by my attitude. Attitude and work ethic is a big part of success. Any job can be rewarding and depending on how you face each day determines if it successful or meaningless. I think that creativity, drive, and determination can make any career stand out above others. I believe passion for working toward your goals is what makes the American Dream come true. I was so passionate about high school, especially sports. But when I injured my shoulder and had to have surgery it changed everything. I had to refocus, set new goals, and work toward reaching those because the old goals were not an option anymore. Through my physical therapy experience, I learned a new passion. I have been passionate about becoming a physical therapist, or work in sports and exercise science. However, I am open to exploring new possibilities. Here are a few things I believe are a must in the Highway of Life. 1) Life is like a highway filled with obstacles. 2) You must be willing to make adjustments and fine-tune attitude) often. 3) Learn and improve from your mistakes 4) Take the wheel in leadership and roll on down the highway.
