About
I have always had a passion for studying the natural world so the obvious next path for me was to work toward a major in Wildlife Science at Utah State University. In the coming 2016-17 school year, I will be the historian for USU's Chapter of the Wildlife Society as I have very much enjoyed being part of this organization and the people and activities it exposes me to. I have been a part of numerous projects and volunteer work over the years, ranging from interning at a veterinary clinic to capturing mule deer with the Utah Division of Wildlife Resources. Currently, I am conducting research on behavioral preferences of resident killer whales in Washington state during the summer of 2016. I can't wait to see what the future has in store for me!

Goals and interests

Throughout my university experience and with a genuine interest in research, I intend on focusing on predator-prey interactions as well as animal behavior as I conduct my own studies. In the long run, I plan on becoming a wildlife biologist for a government agency such as the National Park Service, State Parks, or Fish & Wildlife.
