I intend to find a career where I can do genetic research to improve society and assist in uncovering new genetic information. I also have interest in evolutionary biology and would like a job that is hands on or offers field study.

I enjoy participating in volunteer work with Phi Theta Kappa and being apart of the research projects that the science department offers. I love working at Elbow Room in Dallas, Texas it has given me professional experience and a chance to make lifelong friends. I go to Half Price Books once a week and spend as much free time as I can for reading new and old literature. My friends and family have an important role in my life so aside from school, work, reading and a list of other things to keep me busy I enjoy time with friends and family the most. Meeting new people and spending time with friends allows me to share ideas and take in a different perspective, which translates into my school work and research goals because I believe that sharing ideas has an influential impact on how a person views the world.
