About

My name is Salina Cameron and I am a senior at the University of New Mexico. I will be graduating in May with a bachelors degree in Psychology and a minor in Sociology. I am looking for a profession or career that will enable me to express the many skills I possess and the interests that I have. I am interested in many fields such as psychology, animal welfare, animal handeling and pain management. I also have been considering continuing my education and going to graduate school of Occupational Therapy at UNM. In the present time before I graduate, I have been trying to become more a part of the fields that I am interested in. I currently am a volunteer with the Albuquerque Bio park and Watermelon Mountain Ranch--which is the largest no-kill shelter in NM and also.

Goals and interests

Career goal

It is difficult to pinpoint my intended job path because I am pursuing many different fields and while doing so, trying to find which field I am best suited in. I am very interested in psychology (especially helping people in chronic pain), animal welfare, caring for animals and lastly, any position that will offer me the chance to shine with my exceptional customer service and organizational skills.

Graduate school interests

I have been considering attending the graduate school at UNM for Occupational Therapy. While this is a huge consideration and dream of mine, the cost of going to graduate school is very demanding.

Outside the classroom

I love to be outdoors and doing activities outdoors such as fishing, walking, camping, and taking pictures of nature. Photography is one of my favorite hobbies and I like to take pictures of just about anything from people, to plants, to animals, to even just simple things like interesting signs. I also like to volunteer for the organizations mentioned above. In my spare and quite time, I like to spend quality time with my husband and our family and friends.
