About
My chosen major of baking and pastry arts stems from when I was a little kid. When I was growing up, I was always either baking with my mom or cooking with my dad; they are my inspiration for my love for food. Baking helps me relieve stress when I get caught up in the moment. The calming process of mixing the ingredients together to create a culinary masterpiece gives me a sense of accomplishment. My dream is to open my own bakery and create an experience where customers can enjoy my pastries while thinking of home, while bringing that sense of calm I enjoy. I want people to be reminded of that warm marshmallowy feeling like biting into their first s'more around a warm campfire as a kid. A dedicated culinary education will provide me with not just the skills and techniques, but the life experiences and practical exposure of my instructors. The formal education will be centered around culinary based areas of study. I can't wait to learn from the best pastry chefs in their field, so I can refine my skills. I can't wait to be around people who have the same passion and drive that I do for baking and pastry. Hoping to find myself in the place I want to be the most, a bakeshop. Something to reflect on. We always ask the question of “what's for dinner” but never…whats for dessert.
