I have been working in the health care field since 2006. I started as a Certified Nursing Assistant and received my Associates Degree in Nursing and RN Licence in 2008. I love working with the public and specialize in Geriatric care and case management. I have held a RN Supervisor position since 2009. My current job duties include management and supervision of over 50 non licensed personnel; participation in the development of administrative policies and procedures; review and evaluate existing clinical policies and practices to determine if current methods provide the means for professional staff to carry out their responsibilities and achieve projected goals. Other responsibilities include maintaining on-going liaison among personnel and accountable for all RNs, LPNs and in home aides (CNA I, CNA II, Pediatric Nurse Aides and PCAs). I am also in charge of the development of all staff orientation and education programs. With regards to clinical care for my clients, I serve a case load of over 60 clients, geriatric and pediatric populations. I work as a Home Health nurse and travel all surrounding counties in NC and SC. I ensure all services provided by the in home aides are conducted in accordance with the clinical, state and federal policies. I complete, approve and implement all client service plans according to assessments and changes in beneficiary status; maintain all service records, incident and compliant logs in accordance with state requirements. Identify and report new health and safety risks that may be present in the home. Evaluate beneficiary satisfaction with services. As the RN Supervisor, I also am in charge of the company quality improvement, utilization reviews and pre/post payment audits in accordance with DMA state requirements.
