About
I am Samikshya Prasai, a 25 years old female, born and brought up in Kathmandu, Nepal. I completed my schooling in Kathmandu, and got my undergrad degree in Physics from St. Xavier's College, Maitighar. After completing my BSc Physics degree, I felt an intense urge to expand the horizon of my knowledge, and decided to come to the US for my further education. I am currently pursuing my graduate degree, MSc Physics, from Bowling Green State University, Ohio, United States.

Goals and interests
- Career goal
I would like to do work in a semiconductor manufacturing company like Intel, which always looks forward to innovation. I do have enough experience with the growth of thin film semiconductors by MOCVD technique. Thus, I am looking forward to make a career in semiconductor manufacturing.
- Graduate school interests
My interest in a grad school is based in its research facility. Any university that has good research environment in the field of solid state physics will grab my attention. One of the main reasons I chose Bowling Green State University is because it has advanced material science labs.
- Outside the classroom
I like to spend my spare time by singing songs and writing poems. I have recently started to learn playing guitar as well.
