About
I'm Samjana Dahal, currently pursuing a major in Human Services at Virginia Western. My decision to study this field stems from my desire to make a positive difference in people's lives, particularly immigrants. Having experienced the challenges of being a refugee and integrating into American society after arriving in the USA in 2011, I am passionate about helping others navigate similar journeys. Outside of academics, I enjoy learning new languages, expressing myself through painting, and exploring nature through hiking. Furthermore, I'm all about connections and spending quality time with family and friends.

My career aspirations revolve around supporting individuals, families, and communities in addressing their diverse social, emotional, and practical needs. Roles like case manager or social worker resonate deeply with me because they allow me to directly impact lives on a personal level. However, my big dream is to work at the United Nations (UN). It's the ultimate goal for me because I want to make a difference on a global scale and help people in need all around the world.
