About

I’m currently working towards building experience for the career I want to achieve in, to begin with I have been in five art classes in total in high school years, currently in Draw & Paint III and AP 2D, not only that but since the career I want to major in is graphic design, I am in yearbook staff, where I get to give my creative side on pages and have recognition for my skills. On the school side I’m in honor roll, which has been an amazing experience where I get to learn so much more out of regular classes, I was also enrolled in Dual Enrollment, which also helped me build experience on what to look forward when enrolling in college, especially since I’m first generation. Outside of school I also love to be part of the community, I love to volunteer at my local church, and different opportunities some of the extracurriculars I’m enrolled in give. I am also part of National Arts Honor Society (NAHS), National Hispanic Honor Society (NHHS), BETA Club, and SkillsUSA, These are all opportunities that are connected to Graphic Design because I get to show my creativity, the same way I do for my art classes, and to be part of the executive board for NAHS and NHHS as a social media manager on each one, I’m also enrolled in two sports, Swimming and Flag Football as a manager, I’ve built amazing skills that help me become faster and focus more on a task, not only that but I am a social media assistant for swimming and a photographer, I love photography as well. As a first generation student who moved to the United States almost six years ago with no knowledge in this language, I have been impressed of how far I’ve come ever since I moved in, it took long to get to this point where a lot of my teachers have been recognizing me for my efforts.

Honors and awards

  • Honor Roll

Despite being in so many things as once, my school recognized me for my efforts to keep good grades above average.

Volunteering

  • At my local church I get to volunteer with kids, because we get to gain organizational skills, become more patient, but we also make sure the parents know we’re qualified to keep an eye on their children and keeping them safe while they enjoy the service.
