About
I am currently enrolled in the University of Alabama, Tuscaloosa, Alabama, and will enter my sophomore year in the fall. My field of study is Communicative Disorders, in which my intended focus is speech and hearing problems of young children. My mom has a degree in education and works with autistic children and has been a strong influence in my desire to work with young children with special needs. As part of UA's work-study program , I work at an on-campus daycare facility and love seeing my "babies" everyday! I cannot imagine another field of study more suited to me. My campus life at the University of Alabama is important to me as well. I am a member of Phi Mu Sorority and have been active in my sorority life as well as maintaining a good grade point average.

Goals and interests
- Career goal
My ambition is to work with young children with speech and hearing difficulties, from babies who have difficulty nursing to preparing young students with communicative disorders to enter school and participate in the regular classroom.
- Graduate school interests
Entering the Master's program upon completing my undergraduate degree.
- Outside the classroom
My family has traveled extensively and I enjoy seeing places about which I have read or studied. This past year we traveled to England which gave me the desire to study abroad at some point before I graduate. Also, I live near the gulf coast of Florida and I enjoy boating and fishing
in the gulf. Playing with children and babysitting is another past time that I consider fun. And, of course, I would be remiss in not saying that I love shopping and experimenting with new fashion ideas. However, quite truthfully, living on a budget while attending school has taught me how to bargain shop!
