About
I am a retired Navy SEAL and a graduate student in Environmental Management with a B.S. in Agronomy from California State University, Fresno, earned with highest honors. My academic and professional focus is applied environmental remediation and land rehabilitation, with particular interest in how legacy industrial activities affect soil function and long-term site recovery. I currently conduct field-based research on a 24-acre retired oilfield property, using a Phase II-style framework to evaluate how historical waste pits influence soil fertility indicators and land productivity. My goal is to build a career that bridges science and implementation—combining soil chemistry, regulatory assessment methods, and practical land stewardship to restore degraded landscapes, support sustainable land use, and produce publishable, decision-ready results for agencies, landowners, and conservation partners.

Goals and interests
- Career goal
Environmental Remediation Specialist focused on legacy oilfield site restoration and soil–water quality assessment
- Graduate school interests
My graduate interests center on applied environmental remediation, soil chemistry, and the restoration of degraded industrial landscapes. I am particularly focused on understanding how legacy oilfield waste impacts soil fertility, nutrient cycling, and long-term ecosystem function. My work emphasizes field-based research that integrates regulatory frameworks such as Phase I and Phase II site assessment methodologies with practical land management strategies. I am interested in quantitative soil analysis, contaminant fate and transport, and the development of scalable remediation approaches that can be implemented by landowners, conservation groups, and environmental agencies. Ultimately, I aim to produce research that bridges academic rigor with real-world application, contributing to sustainable land rehabilitation and evidence-based environmental management.
