About
Hello, my name is Shamara Thompson. I am 19 years old and a student at Sierra College, located in Rocklin, California. Right now, I am an IHSS Provider for my mom who suffers from diagnoses such as renal failure, diabetes, and Guillain-Barre syndrome. As I care for my mother and work on my studies, I plan on finishing with an Associates in Science Degree then transferring to a 4-year university for a Bachelor's in Nursing.

Goals and interests
- Career goal
I would love to be a registered nursing. While caring for my mother, I have learned a lot, especially in bedside care, medications, wound care, and dialysis. My mother and grandmother also worked in the medical field. My mother was a CNA and MA, while my grandmother was an RN. Now my sister and I are aiming to follow in their footsteps. My sister has gone to school for kinesiology and I am working to become an RN.

In my free time, I enjoy crocheting, playing the cello, and listening to various genres of music.
