About

I am currently a Registered Medical Assistant and Phlebotomist but going on to get my Associates degree in Nursing Science at Rose State Community College. After completing my degree and becoming a Registered Nurse, I would like to continue to care for the LGBTQ+ community. I currently work with Diversity Family Health, a medical practice that caters to the needs and inclusivity of the LGBTQ+ community. For a couple of years, I worked at a couple of different clinics, never really feeling like I was making a difference in society. Either by coincidence or destiny, I was offered a job to work for Diversity Family Health. Since working there I have truly felt more open-minded than ever before and feel as if I am making a significance difference in the lives of others. Ever since I was little, I always knew I wanted to help people, give them compassion and love when no one else would or could. I was introduced to the medical field at a young age, since my Mother, Father, Grandmother and Grandfather all have worked in the medical field. Since knowing this was what I wanted to do at such a young age, I strove for excellence. I came to realize that I was not the smartest person in any of my classes, but that just make me strive harder to earn what I knew I deserved. I was honored with the award of Student of the Year in my 2016 High School graduating class, because of this I was able to inspire my fellow classmates with some encouraging words at my graduation. You see I wasn’t like any other student; after falling ill at 16 I was forced to dropout of High School and go through rehabilitation therapy to regain my motor and intellect functions, this unfortunately put me a year behind my class. After getting back on my feet, I hit the ground running and wound up graduating 6 months early. I see every set back as a chance to rise higher than before. I can only hope to give the best care to patients as to what was given to me.
